It's better than standing there for 8 minutes watching two Blood Spikes battle it out, though :P

does that mean you can no longer spike and have to run builds which you can only manage to achieve a 16-18 win-loss ratio with?

I think that would be an accurate translation. Bye bye Blood Spike

Just got done doing a few runs. I think the 6 man teams are fun, new, and exciting. I probaly played about 20 maps and i dont even think anyone of the teams were copies of each other. Lots and lots of variety in teams.

Scarred earth is pretty fun when you finish first and get to rush the other 2. I dont know how it feels yet to be rushed tho, we finsihed first everytime.

Broken Tower is pretty neat as well, much different approach then before.

all and all i think good job with the change. still would like to see totally new map skins and objectives tho.

Zero hour: Ran 2 balanced and 1 PuG Dual smite. New maps=old maps; they just removed one.

Lots of skips. Home servers were empty. ID...3 districts. Yeah...lots of new people in there...

Only big change is was the levers. Instead of waiting on two weak damage/high defense teams to duke it out before we go in and kill them. Big fun there.

Tastes like brocolli to me...

Funny thing, here's the official info from the game updates page:
  • Removed Burial Mounds from rotation.
  • Raised the team count for Broken Tower to 3.
  • Reduced the play time for Broken Tower to 4 minutes.
  • Reduced the play time for Courtyard to 4 minutes.
  • Added levers to Scarred Earth so that players can open gates leading out of the center region of the map. Gates still open automatically as teams are defeated.

They, uh, kind of left out one update:
  • Reduced party size to six players

I dont know if this passed anets minds : maybe people played that weekned because of double fame, not because of 6 v 6. I'm sure tombs would have been full if it were 8 v 8 also. That weekend was an oportunity pve ppl to get some emotes...

Are y'all forgetting any current metagame or builds you make now will be scrap in a few weeks with the release of NF. Maybe Anet actually planned this to remove the possibility of people finding uber 8 paragon team exploits and such. Maybe they changed it to make people choose every skill more carefully and not just take 1 character to constantly rupt the ghostly.

Who says you need to run 2 monk backline, why not 1 monk, 1 paragon, 2 support characters e.g. E/Mos and some warriors or something. People are just jumping to conclusions.

The map changes are a joke Demo should be fearful lots of the top guilds HA/GvG will get ganked a lot by the other two teams with these map changes, it was bad at the height of our fame on courtyard and it will be worse with these changes because there are now 3 oppurtunities to be ganked instead of 1 its no fun being ganked all the time and im guessing will lead to much rage.

@Mental Leteci - You have my respect and the respect of many who were in SWIM, i dont recall seeing you playing anything other than well rounded builds and doing it well so its gg to you and gl with whatever comes next.

IMO if Nighfall isnt good its game over for Guild Wars

I seen nice skills for all proffesions during the preview event..so i expect that will change big time the meta of the game in ha and also gvg...
Ppl shoud not be fear that gw is at end...any changes, as in life is a new begining of something...so be more optimistic....and wait for nighfall release..
Meanwile get bored in the ha..with curent gameplay..
i read many post complaining bout the 6 vs 6 situation..but as far as i can see with all those titles...anet will figure something and add more fancy titles as i can feel it..and will encourage the ppl to do HA.
Many of you..wanted Anet to put an arena of 6vs6 and also to maintain the HA at 8vs8..not realy good ideea imao..too many would play more HA and none would play the 6vs6 arena...is just an ipotetic theory..
I guess we have to wait till the end of october too see if it worth to continue gw or rage and go ggtksbye anet, i have things 2 do in RL.
Cheers.

GW.com= along with a lot of exciting map changes, too.
Doesnt sound very exciting to me
How are these lame non-even-the-slightest-bit-exciting changes supposed to liven up the maps? Omg lame!

They basically turned courtyard and broken into mini HoH, no chance of a sneaky late recap in broken anymore.
Scarred earth levers? Great even more ganking. Watch out for in-game politics in there.

GFG

p.s: Leteci - Noooooooooooooo
